Trailblazers represent the foundational leadership support behind the The Museum of Black Women Innovators. Their vision, courage, innovation, and impact across generations help shape what MOBWI preserves, honors, and carries forward.
Some are recognized for the work they continue to lead today, while others are honored in memory of the legacies they left behind. Through the 2026 Legacy of Innovation Capital Campaign, Trailblazers are helping bring MOBWI to life and ensuring the contributions of Black women are celebrated for generations to come.

About
the Trailblazer Recognition
Trailblazer recognition honors early leadership in a defining season for MOBWI; support that helps shape what is preserved, how it is honored, and how long it endures.
Each Trailblazer will be recognized through museum storytelling, digital features, donor recognition, and legacy acknowledgments connected to the Museum’s opening and early years.

Their Stories Are Part of the Museum
The Museum of Black Women Innovators exists because too many stories of Black women’s brilliance, leadership, and innovation have gone unseen, unnamed, or under-preserved.
The Trailblazers represent what MOBWI is building: a permanent space where Black women’s contributions are documented with dignity, shared with power, and carried forward with intention.
